Team vs personal plans.
UPDATED 2026-08-01A personal LADLE plan and a Team plan cost the same per person — $20 per seat per month, either way. The difference is in workspace structure and admin controls, not in the actual chat product or the model.
**Personal plan** — one user, one account, one billing relationship. Your chats and Projects are yours. Payment is against your card. Meal donations show on your personal ledger under Settings.
**Team plan** — one workspace containing multiple accounts. Central billing (one card, one invoice covering all seats), central admin (roles and controls), and shared workspace-level artifacts (Projects that all members can access, shared Voice Guides). Meal donations show on both a workspace-level ledger (all members combined) and per-member personal ledgers.
**When to switch from personal to Team**: if you have even one teammate you'd like to share a Project or Voice Guide with, or if your company is reimbursing your subscription and needs a single invoice under a company entity. If you're the only user and just paying for yourself, personal is simpler.
The conversion is one-way but non-destructive: personal accounts become the first Admin of a new workspace when they convert. All your existing chats and Projects come with you. If you later want to revert (e.g., if the team disbands), you can leave the workspace and re-create a personal account with the same email — but you can't turn an existing Team workspace back into a personal account with a click.
**Feature parity**: yes. There is nothing you get on Team that you don't get on personal, except the workspace management features (invites, seats, admin controls). Model access, context window, files, Projects, and everything else are identical. We don't gate features behind Team billing.
**Enterprise features** (SSO, SCIM, custom procurement) are available on Team plans, with rollout status per feature in the "SSO and SCIM availability" article. If your company requires SSO from day one, email hello@ladle.chat first.
