Team of one, deliberately.
There are no open roles at LADLE. Not because we’re between hires — because we’re not hiring. The point of this company is that a small team compounded by frontier AI can run a real product at meaningful scale, and every extra headcount changes what that sentence means.
Every dollar we spend on payroll is a dollar that doesn’t become meals. The math there is uncomfortable but real. At a certain scale, the leverage of one more engineer is worth more meals per month than the salary costs — that’s when we’ll hire.
Today the math points the other way. A team of one, with Claude Sonnet as a co-worker, ships this site, this product, and this monthly receipt cycle. When that’s no longer true, this page changes.
We’re also not raising. There’s no VC deck, no team-building phase, no ‘fill the pipeline’ motion. If that changes, it will be because subscriber growth genuinely requires it, and we’ll say so here first.
- 01
You've built something end-to-end.
A production system, a shipped product, a well-run team. Not a résumé — a thing that exists in the world that we can look at.
- 02
You reach for the model.
You already use frontier AI to compound your own work. Not as a novelty; as a routine. If you're not fluent already, joining a small team with AI leverage isn't the right frame.
- 03
You care about the receipts, not the pitch.
The reason to work here is that the receipts show up every month. If you'd be more excited by a fundraising narrative or a growth-hacking playbook, we're not the fit.
If the bar above genuinely fits you and you want to be in the running when it’s time, send us the shipped thing. Not a résumé — a link.
