Invite team members.
UPDATED 2026-08-01You can invite teammates from Settings → Team. Enter their work email, pick a role (Admin or Member), and click Invite. They'll get an email with a signup link that pre-fills your workspace name.
Roles matter. Admins can add and remove members, change the workspace name, download the seat-usage report, and see the billing dashboard. Members can chat, create Projects, and share chats with other members, but can't add or remove people. The role can be changed at any time by an Admin.
Billing for a new seat starts the day the invitee accepts. If you invite five people on the 1st and only three accept before the 15th, you're billed for three additional seats on the next cycle. Pending invites do not cost anything.
Team chats are private by default — the person you invite sees only their own chats and the workspace name. To share a chat with another teammate, use the Share menu inside a specific chat and pick who can see it. This is a deliberate design: workspace admins don't have a general "see all chats" view because we don't want the pattern of workplace surveillance to develop.
Invitations expire after 7 days. If a teammate misses the window, you can resend from the same Team screen. There's no cap on how many invites you can send at once, but we throttle mass invites over 50 to prevent accidental sends.
If you're on a personal plan and want to invite even one teammate, you'll be prompted to convert to Team billing on the way in. See "Team vs personal plans" for what changes.
