Your personal meal ledger.
UPDATED 2026-08-01The My Table screen inside the product is your personal share of the monthly meal donation. It shows: the total meals funded by your subscription since you signed up, the plates for the current month (as they land), your streak (consecutive months subscribed), and your next-receipt date.
The math per subscription per month: at minimum, 10 meals ($8 ÷ $0.80). Some months slightly more if ShareTheMeal's per-meal cost drops. If the per-meal cost were ever to rise above $0.80 mid-month, we'd honor 10 meals from that month's donation batch (absorbing the difference against ops) and re-adjust for the next month.
The plates render as visual glyphs — filled circles for confirmed meals, gold for the one that "landed today" (illustrative animation), dashed for meals in the current month's batch that haven't cleared yet. On the last day of the month, all the plates for that month lock in confirmed and the reference number appears next to them.
Your lifetime count is the sum across all months, tied to the specific reference numbers on the receipts. The number is exact — it's not a rounded aggregate. Long-time subscribers who joined at launch see 100+ meals; newer subscribers see the corresponding smaller number.
If you cancel and later re-subscribe, the ledger picks up where it left off. The streak counter resets, but the lifetime total does not — meals you funded are counted for as long as your account exists.
