Keyboard shortcuts.

LADLE ships with a small, deliberate set of keyboard shortcuts. Not a hundred bindings — a dozen that cover 95% of what daily users need. Mac uses ⌘; Windows and Linux use Ctrl.

**Global** (works anywhere in the app): - ⌘N — new chat - ⌘K — search across your chats - ⌘/ — switch models (currently only Sonnet is available, so this is a no-op) - ⌘, — open settings - ⌘⇧S — toggle the sidebar - Esc — dismiss any modal or dropdown

**Inside the composer**: - Enter — send - ⇧Enter — new line without sending - ⌘Enter — insert a code fence - ⌘⇧V — paste as plain text (strips formatting)

**Inside a chat scroll**: - j / k — next/previous message (Gmail-style) - e — jump to the composer input - r — regenerate the last assistant response

We don't ship user-configurable keybindings and probably won't. Every extra binding is a mode to remember. If a specific default doesn't work for your keyboard layout or accessibility needs, email support and we'll consider adding an accommodation.
